// AI TRAINING

AI training for business — from the boardroom to the help desk.

Practical, role-based AI training for Australian organisations. Directors learn what to govern, staff learn what is safe to paste, and technical teams learn how to build without opening new holes.

Sydney operating base · On-site across NSW · Remote across Australia

The problem

Most staff already use AI. Few were ever shown how to use it safely.

Generic online AI courses teach prompts. They do not teach your data classification, your client contracts or your approval rules, so people guess. That is how customer records end up in a free chatbot.

Our training is built around your tools, your policies and your real tasks. Each audience gets what it needs to make good decisions, and nothing it does not.

Outcomes

What you get out of it

  • Directors and executives who can ask the right AI questions
  • Staff who know what data can and cannot go into AI tools
  • Measurable time saved on real, repeatable tasks
  • Technical teams building with secure, reviewed patterns
  • An acceptable use policy people have read and understood
  • Training records that support ISO 42001 competence evidence

How it works

Four steps, no theatre

  1. STEP 01

    Baseline

Short survey and interviews to understand which tools are in use, by whom, and where the risk and value sit.

  2. STEP 02

    Tailor

Build content around your approved tools, policies and real tasks. No off-the-shelf slide deck.

  3. STEP 03

    Deliver

On-site in Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast, or live over Microsoft Teams anywhere in Australia.

  4. STEP 04

    Measure

Follow-up check on usage, confidence and incidents, with a short report for leadership.

Australian context

The rules and frameworks that apply here

Privacy Act 1988

The OAIC says privacy obligations apply to personal information entered into AI tools and to AI outputs. Staff need to know what the Australian Privacy Principles allow before they paste customer details into a prompt.

Guidance for AI Adoption

The National AI Centre’s essential practices ask organisations to train the people accountable for AI and the people overseeing AI systems.

ISO/IEC 42001

Clause 7 includes competence and awareness requirements. Training records from our sessions can form part of that evidence.

Our edge

Why FORTE/CYBERx Advisory

Not another consulting firm. Former enterprise CIOs bringing operator-grade cyber and AI leadership to Australian SMEs.

01

One accountable CIO, not a panel

Cyber strategy, compliance and AI sit with one operator who has led technology inside banking, healthcare, higher education and government.

02

AI-ready, not AI-hyped

ISO 42001 practitioners. We secure the enterprise for AI before spinning up flashy tools. Frameworks first, tooling second.

03

Three capabilities, one programme

Cybersecurity strategy, ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 compliance, and AI consulting delivered as one plan with shared evidence and a single audit cycle.

04

Local, but not small

Sydney-based, delivering across NSW. On-site when it matters, remote-first when it does not.

05

Platform-augmented delivery

Every engagement includes FORTE/CYBERx platform access. Our consultants use it live in your board meetings — you keep using it after we leave.

Common questions

Frequently asked

What AI training does a business actually need?+

Usually three layers: a board and executive briefing on oversight and risk, short safe-use training for all staff, and deeper enablement for the people building or administering AI tools.

Is this an online AI course?+

No. It is live, tailored training built around your tools, policies and tasks. We can record sessions for new starters, but the value comes from working on your real examples.

Can you train our board on AI governance?+

Yes. Board sessions cover what AI is being used for, directors’ duties, risk appetite, the questions to ask management and what good reporting looks like.

Do you deliver training outside Sydney?+

Yes. We deliver on-site in Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast, and live over Microsoft Teams anywhere in Australia.

Does AI training count towards ISO 42001?+

It supports it. ISO 42001 requires competence and awareness for people affecting AI performance, and our attendance and content records can be used as evidence.
